Deborah Fash

DIRECTOR OF SPEECH TESTING & DIAGNOSTICS

Mrs. Deborah Fash holds a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Washington State University and is certified by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association as well as the Arizona State Department of Education.

Mrs. Fash actively supports language, literacy, and dyslexia. She is licensed to provide speech-language pathology services in Arizona and is Wilson Reading Program certified. Mrs. Fash is also trained by the Lindamood Bell Corporation in the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LIPS), Seeing Stars, Visualizing Verbalizing, and Talkies programs. She has attended numerous Social Thinking workshops for developing pragmatic language presented by Michelle Garcia Winner. In addition to the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association, Mrs. Fash maintains membership in the International Dyslexia Association and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Branch of the International Dyslexia Association.

Mrs. Fash has practiced speech pathology in a variety of medical and educational settings but has served the children of New Way Academy since 1994. As the Director of Intervention at New Way, she provides language and reading evaluations, oversees therapy services, and assists in considering student needs during the admissions process.

Outside of school, Mrs. Fash enjoys hiking, reading, and discovering the joys of being a grandma.
