Student Activities

Keeping students’ minds active.

While academic instruction is the top priority of our school, we are equally committed to providing rich experiences through student activities. Our diverse programs include athletics, intramurals, clubs and activities to engage the interest of all of our students.

Student Government:
Members of our Student Government are leaders on our campus. StuGo is responsible for shaping much of the student experience at New Way Academy. This highly active group serves the entire student body by organizing activities that range from service projects and school dances to concessions at sporting events and mentoring our youngest students.

Spirit Assemblies:
Spirit Assemblies are held on the last Friday of each month. Mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss seeing our gym packed with school spirit, student celebrations and fun for all. Don’t forget your red and black!

After School Care:
For your convenience, After School Care is available for students in grades K-8, Monday-Friday from 3:00pm – 5:30 pm, and on Wednesdays from 2:00pm-5:30pm. Every week a new set of activities is planned.

Club Bulldog:
Club Bulldog offers students an array of after school activities. More than 80% of our student body are engaged in our after school programs. This involvement helps build our students’ skills in teamwork and the development of specific skills that interest them.

I was breathless when she stood at the center of the gymnasium, microphone in hand, and confidently and comfortably addressed the bleachers full of parents and students.
