Carrie Muecke

Ms. Muecke grew up in Woodland Hills, California but has called Arizona her home for almost 20 years. She holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara and Utah State University and earned her master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Arizona State University in 2012. Ms. Muecke has worked with children throughout her professional career starting as a first grade teacher and then an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech-language pathologist in outpatient pediatric settings before coming to New Way. She is excited to be back in the school setting and looks forward to expanding her professional knowledge while working with varied stakeholders. Her professional interests include dyslexia, literacy, fluency (stuttering/cluttering), early language development, childhood apraxia of speech, and severe articulation/phonological disorders. She has diverse experience working with varied speech and language disorders.

Outside of New Way, Ms. Muecke enjoys getting outdoors, traveling, spending time with friends and her two cats, reading, and being a strong advocate for animals. She is also a proud “grammar nerd” and is passionate about learning and keeping up on the latest in the field of speech-language pathology.
