Elizabeth Ramos
READING SPECIALIST
Mrs. Ramos joined the New Way team in 2018. She grew up in Geneseo, Illinois, but moved to Iowa for college. After attending Clarke College in Dubuque, IA, Mrs. Ramos made her way to Clinton, IA, where she taught junior high special education classes. She then relocated to Iowa City, IA, working as an elementary special educator in both public and private settings. During this time, she obtained a Masters of Education degree from Buena Vista University. Upon learning about New Way Academy, she moved to Arizona to become a Reading Specialist.
Mrs. Ramos finished her Level 1 Wilson Reading Program certification in the fall of 2019. She is so excited to have the opportunity to work with the amazing students and staff at New Way! Outside of school, Mrs. Ramos enjoys visiting friends and family, hiking, cooking, and exploring new places through travel!
