Stacey Hanson

Ms. Stacey Hanson grew up in a northwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she studied Community Health and Rehabilitation Studies. She then obtained her Master of Occupational Therapy at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, graduating in 2016. She is a nationally certified Occupational Therapist through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Ms. Hanson is passionate about working with children and families and assisting others in increasing their independence in activities meaningful to them. She utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based, holistic approach in her work as an occupational therapist. Ms. Hanson has experience in various settings including home health, outpatient clinic, inpatient rehabilitation, and the school setting. She feels so lucky to be part of the supportive and collaborative New Way team!

Outside of school, Ms. Hanson enjoys strolling through a farmer’s market, yoga, meditation, traveling, enjoying a cup of tea, and spending time with her family and friends.
