Jody Clark
HEAD OF COUNSElING
Mrs. Jody Clark was born on Long Island, New York, but was raised primarily In Pennsylvania. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Edinboro University and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Syracuse University. Mrs. Clark has lived in seven different states and since 2012 calls Arizona her forever home.
Mrs. Clark has experience as a School Counselor in the states of New York and Georgia, where she was department chair, and most recently at Lexis Preparatory School. In addition to being a school counselor she has also worked as a crisis intervention counselor, and ran a support group for people with eating disorders. She has received additional education and training in acceptance commitment therapy, social thinking, and executive functioning.
Mrs. Clark has a passion for helping students develop a growth mindset towards their learning, while also supporting their social and emotional development to become amazing adults! She is very happy to now be a member of the New Way family. Go Bulldogs!
When not supporting students at New Way, you can find Mrs. Clark practicing mindfulness, learning Tai Chi, and enjoying hiking. She also loves traveling adventures with her husband, two children, and beloved Golden Retriever, Winnie.
