Jasmine Buirse
SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Ms. Buirse was born in Long Beach, California but when she was nine moved to Arizona and has been here ever since. Ms. Buirse received her Bachelors of Science in Athletic training where she found her passion in working with the adolescent population. Ms. Buirse then continued to receive her Masters of Science in Psychology with an Emphasis in Health in 2018. In August of 2023, Ms. Buirse will be completed with and obtain her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Ms. Buirse has experience working in behavioral health residential facilities, recovery treatment centers, level one behavioral health facilities, group counseling settings, as well as de-escalation experience, and crisis intervention experience in the adolescent population.
Ms. Buirse has a passion for helping students work towards understanding their emotions, resolve conflict, maximize student success, and help students overcome barriers by focusing, evoking, and planning their intrinsic motivation for change with motivational interviewing techniques.
Ms. Buirse loves spending time with her family and enjoys making candles to sell at local farmer’s markets. Ms. Buirse is also a big gamer who loves to play video games in her free time and likes to run half marathons
