Mr. Peter Vallejo is no stranger to New Way as he began his career at New Way by subbing and volunteering in 2014, encouraging our students to aspire to greatness, find ways to apply what they have learned and become passionate in their quest for knowledge. Prior to New Way, Mr. V was a sailor in the United States Navy and studied engineering at the Naval Academy. He also studied Political Science at ASU and holds a Masters Degree in Education. He has been serving the southeast community as coach, scout master and teacher for more than twenty years. Mr. V enjoys working with our unique learners and strives to empower, build confidence, and self worth. His educational philosophy is “We learn to do difficult things by doing them, thankfully we don’t have to do them alone.”
A native of Arizona, Mr. V resides in Gilbert with his wife and three dogs. Their grown children live locally and visit often. When not teaching, he enjoys cooking, reading, biking, woodworking, hiking and exploring all our beautiful state has to offer.
