Nakia Gorden

JUNIOR HIGH TEACHER

Nakia Gorden was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He has earned an Associates of Arts degree from El Camino College in Torrance, CA, a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s of Education from Arizona State University, and is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree and Principal Certification from Clark Atlanta University. He has been involved in education for over 15 years, and has taught High School English Language Arts, English Language Development, Freshman Connection, Social Studies, and U.S. History courses. In addition, Nakia is a single father of the greatest son in the world (Noah) and enjoys trying new eateries, shopping, traveling, shopping, music festivals, and shopping. “I am so excited to be a part of the New Way Academy family to grow, learn, and thrive in our community
