She discovered her passion for working with middle school students, helping them grow into responsible and kind individuals. With a patient and nurturing approach, she creates a classroom environment where students feel comfortable, safe, and valued. She believes in empowering students to make choices and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.

Outside of her professional life, Mikaela enjoys a variety of hobbies and interests. She is an avid hiker, practices aerial yoga, loves building with Legos, and has been teaching herself how to code. Traveling is another passion, and she cherishes the time spent with her energetic and affectionate boxer-shepherd rescue, Delilah, who is five years old. Originally from upstate New York, Mikaela appreciates the beautiful weather in Arizona. She is thrilled to join New Way Academy as the STEM teacher, bringing her love for science, technology, engineering, and math to her students.
