Jena Olgin grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania before moving to Arizona when she was in high school. Previously, Jena taught Kindergarten and K-4 Technology at Pardes Jewish Day School right here in Phoenix. Before that, she taught 1st and 2nd grade in Los Angeles. Her favorite experience has been teaching English to elementary school children in Rehovot, Israel as a Masa Israel Teaching Fellow. Jena earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from Grand Canyon University. Being the oldest of five siblings, she has always loved working with children. A quote by Mary Dunbar sums up her feelings about teaching, “We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light.”
Jena is so excited to be a part of the New Way team! When not on campus, Jena loves to watch independent films and hike. She is a huge fan of the Sundance Film Festival!
