Description
Come be a part of the teaching team at New Way Academy this upcoming fall for the 2023-2024 school year. Our Lower School Writing Teacher will support the school’s mission to educate children with learning differences to fulfill their potential. Responsibilities
- Help to develop/adapt math curriculum specialized to student needs for our lower school students
- Differentiate instruction to remediate what students need to learn and push them to rigorous content understanding
- Maintain and utilize accurate and up-to-date data regarding student achievement
- Empower students through high expectations, consistent routines, and strategies for success
- Contribute to the drafting of each student’s IEP or similar student plan
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with parents, students and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with the other level and content teams

Education/Certification Requirements
- Holds valid and up-to-date teaching certificate in Arizona
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a preferred emphasis on special education
- Previous writing teacher experience
Job Benefits
- Based on experience in range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year
