At New Way, community engagement is at the heart of everything we do. As one of our core values, engagement fuels our mission to create a vibrant, connected, and inclusive school culture that extends far beyond the classroom walls. Our community includes not only our incredible students but also their families, our dedicated staff, community partners, and generous supporters who believe in the power of our mission.
When new families join New Way, we often hear a common reflection: while their child is thriving in ways they’ve never experienced before, they too, as parents and caregivers, find a sense of community, belonging, and connection that surpasses what they’ve known elsewhere. That shared experience of growth and support is what makes New Way truly special.
We understand that every family’s schedule looks different, and time is precious. That’s why we strive to offer a wide variety of ways for parents and caregivers to get involved. Whether you have an hour to give each week or just a few times a year, there’s a meaningful way to connect. From weekly lunchroom volunteers to event committees, fundraising champions, and one-time special projects, we’re committed to finding opportunities that fit your interests and availability.
Participation doesn’t stop with volunteering. Simply attending and showing up makes a tremendous difference. Whether it’s cheering at a weeknight game, celebrating together at our annual Fall Kickoff, or joining us for a spirited assembly, your presence helps build the sense of belonging that defines New Way. The excitement and energy that fill our campus when families and friends come together is truly what makes our community shine.
As a nonprofit school, we also depend on the generosity of our families and supporters to sustain our programs and expand opportunities for our students. Each year, we aim for 100% participation in our fundraising efforts because it’s not about the size of the gift, but the shared commitment behind it. Every contribution, no matter how small, strengthens our mission and directly impacts our students’ experiences.
