What Is a Learning Difference or Disability?
Individuals with learning differences or disabilities typically have average or above-average intelligence and struggle in one or more areas, such as reading, writing, spelling, math, listening, or oral expression. Learning differences have a neurological basis, and the difference in how the brain receives, processes, or communicates information is considered lifelong. With appropriate interventions and instruction, children with learning differences can achieve success in school and life.
What Is Tuition at New Way?
Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year is $30,500 for returning students.
First-year students are assessed a First Year Tuition Supplement of $2,100 to cover the initial records review, observations, and comprehensive assessments. Many students are eligible for scholarships.
Does New Way Provide Scholarships for Financial Aid?
New Way values and seeks students from diverse economic backgrounds, and many students are eligible for scholarships. Financial assistance is limited to tuition, and the amount awarded to each student is based on financial need, parental support of the school, and availability of funds.
All information submitted for review by the Financial Aid Committee and financial aid awards are strictly confidential.

What Are New Way Students Like?

What Are New Way Teachers’ Qualifications?
All teachers at New Way Academy are specialists in their academic areas and are trained to teach students with learning differences. New Way requires and provides ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities for faculty. This ensures that faculty continuously develop teaching skills and stay up-to-date on the latest research, instructional techniques, and curricular advancements.
What Does New Way Expect From Parents?
We hope that parents are active participants in their child’s education. We offer individual conferences to help parents understand how their child learns and what they can do outside of New Way to support their child’s academic success. We have an inclusive community and welcome parent collaboration and communication.
Does New Way Offer Transition Services?
High school students receive transition services tailored to their educational needs, starting in grade nine. Working closely with our Transition Team, parents, students, and faculty collaborate to ensure that proper planning and preparation are in place for each student.
New Way High School holds numerous seminars, provides various electives, and offers concurrent enrollment classes to help prepare students for success after graduation.
What Is New Way’s Disciplinary Policy?
New Way Academy maintains high expectations for student conduct and responsibility. We implement a school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system to promote social skills among all students and address disciplinary issues. PBIS is research-based and emphasizes positive strategies to shape behavior. Specialized plans are developed when general routines and procedures are not effective for individual students.

Is There a Dress Code?
Although students do not wear uniforms, there is a dress code.
