Kaylene Lowe

SLPA

Ms. Lowe is a Speech Language Pathology Assistant who earned her degree at Chemeketa Community College in Oregon and became the first AZ SLPA after the state mandated licensure requirements for this position in the early 2000s. She has served as an SLPA for over 18 years, beginning in a school district in Yuma, Arizona, working with students from pre-kindergarten through junior high. After 13 years, she relocated back to the Scottsdale/Mesa area, where her 4 siblings, parents, and two grown sons with their own families reside. During this time, she
transitioned into the home health setting, providing speech services to families and clients from pre-kindergarten through adults. Her experience includes diverse settings such as homes, group homes, charter schools, day centers, clinics, and teletherapy, supporting individuals with a wide range of learning differences and needs. She also held a full-time in-house therapy position at an adult day center for two years before joining our team. Along with her extensive speech experience, Ms. Lowe has built a strong knowledge base through close collaboration with families, teachers, support coordinators, and other therapists, complemented by hundreds of CEUs to ensure the best possible experiences and outcomes for those she serves. Ms. Lowe is passionate about teaching and adopts a holistic approach to her therapy, leveraging her additional background in certificates and degrees in trauma-informed care, leadership and counseling. She uses her creativity to adjust to each situation.

Ms. Lowe is passionate about mentoring and encouraging others to recognize their potential and gifts. Currently, she is excited to return to the school setting and feels truly blessed to be part of our New Way family and community! In addition, Ms. Lowe likes reading, researching, studying, camping, day trips, road trips, hiking, 1/1 time at brunches, off-roading, eating healthy, strength training, and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.
