Katerina, known to her students as “Ms. Kat,” was raised in Arizona after moving from Michigan at age 12. Kat instantly loved the Arizona heat and stayed in the state to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Arizona State University, Forks Up!
Prior to joining the speech therapy team at New Way, Kat gained experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant across both home health and clinical settings. She excels at connecting with students through shared interests, crafting personalized activities that build confidence, foster functional communication, and equip students with daily strategies for inside and outside the classroom. She is eager to continue expanding her clinical knowledge while helping her students reach their full potential.
Outside of school, Kat loves cooking and baking for her large Greek family, traveling, exploring new food spots, and playing video games with her boyfriend. She also has a passion for jewelry and worked in the jewelry industry before pursuing her career as an SLPA.
