Ms. Katelyn Young moved to Arizona from Northwestern Alabama in 2019 to be with family and to pursue a career in occupational therapy. She found her passion for working with children during her time as a paraprofessional in a self-contained special education classroom. Ms. Young received her Associates of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from Pima Medical Institute in 2024. Ms. Young began her occupational therapy career in the pediatric home health setting before making the transition to school based practice.
Ms. Young utilizes a child centered, neurodivergent affirming therapeutic approach and is passionate about facilitating student confidence and success.
Outside of New Way, Ms. Young continues to maintain a small caseload of home health clients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog – Buddy.
