Mrs. Eliana Mazel is a native New Yorker, born and raised on Long Island. She attended James Madison University and graduated in 2015 with BA in International Affairs and Spanish. She earned her Masters degree in Education from Grand Canyon University. She came to New Way as a junior high and high school English teacher after teaching 2nd grade in Maryvale, Arizona.
In her role as the Financial Aid Specialist, Mrs. Mazel ensures that a New Way education is accessible to all families regardless of financial need. She works with families to navigate public school eligibility, scholarship criteria, and ESA and STO procedures.
Mrs. Mazel lives in Scottsdale with her husband and dog, Baloo. Her family still lives on the east coast and you can find her relaxing on the beach there during vacations. When Mrs. Mazel isn’t in the classroom, she enjoys hiking, exercising, cooking, and exploring new places!
