Ms. Zimmerly was born in Fresno, California, and spent most of her life in Idaho, where she earned her B.S. in Health Science from Idaho State University. After graduating, she spent a year teaching English in Seoul, South Korea, an experience that sparked her curiosity about other cultures and taught her to move forward with resilience through new challenges. Since then, she has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Southeast Asia. About six years ago, Ms. Zimmerly moved from Idaho to Phoenix, Arizona, and she is now in her first year teaching lower school STEM at New Way Academy, where she loves bringing her science background into the classroom and fostering students’ curiosity and excitement for science.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and cooking.
