Mr. Brussow joins New Way with over a decade of teaching experience. After earning his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice at Cal State Fullerton, he moved to Nebraska where he worked as a Corrections Officer and Deputy Sheriff.
Mr. Brussow is a man of many talents. After deciding law enforcement was not a good fit, he turned to the family business, teaching. He enjoyed 10 years teaching at a Central Phoenix middle school, teaching primarily Writing and Speech. In the classroom, he enjoys telling stories and creating a fun learning environment.
When he is not teaching, you may find him at a local ice rink playing hockey or refereeing. He enjoys mentoring younger officials and is on the AZ Hockey Referee Association Board. When he isn’t working or at the rink, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs. They love traveling (writing this from Belize, in fact!), anything Disney, and attending rock concerts!
