Mrs. Ortiz was born and raised in Arizona and is excited to be teaching in her home state. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University and has dedicated her career to supporting students both academically and physically.

Before joining the team, Mrs. Ortiz spent four years as a Physical Education teacher, where she created a positive, active learning environment and encouraged students to build confidence through movement and teamwork. She has also worked in Title I schools, gaining valuable experience supporting diverse student populations, and served as a paraprofessional for children on the autism spectrum. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to inclusive education and meeting the individual needs of every learner.

Outside of work, Mrs. Ortiz enjoys staying active through workouts and playing basketball. She loves spending time at home with her spouse and their five pets—two dogs and three cats. Mrs. Ortiz is passionate about creating a supportive, engaging environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
