Ms. Maggie Masse is a born and bred Rhode Islander. She attended Suffolk University in Boston and earned her BS in Journalism. Shortly after graduation, she left her job as a sports journalist and served as an AmeriCorps Education Fellow, where she discovered her passion for education, and then subsequently went on to earn her Masters in Elementary Education from Brown University. Over the past decade in education, Maggie has taught in K-8 classrooms, provided English lessons for refugee students, and tutored SAT and ACT prep to high school students. Tired of the cold New England weather, Maggie found her way to Arizona two years ago. She is so excited to be part of the New Way community this year!
When not at school, you can most likely find Maggie outside – she loves to play ultimate frisbee, hike, and kayak. She is an avid traveler, reader, puzzler, and crafter. She is a huge sports fan and also works for the Diamondbacks, so please talk sports with her.
